Search Terms
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. Grant County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of the query.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share that message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal order.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Like most websites, the service may receive basic technical data when a page loads. This can include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring website, when supplied; and
- date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools can help measure visits and understand how pages are used. Browser controls may reject or remove cookies. Some site or partner features may work differently when cookies are blocked.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports ordinary operation and evaluation of the site. Uses may include:

Government and Outside Links
Links may lead to Grant County release records, sheriff and corrections pages, Kentucky government portals, or outside search tools. Once you follow a link, the destination’s privacy notice and data practices apply. Kentucky public-record access is governed in part by the Kentucky Open Records Act, including KRS Chapter 61, but that law does not replace a linked service’s own privacy terms.
Some advertising providers may use their own technologies to understand activity across different websites and select ads. That processing occurs on the provider’s systems, not on this site’s records.

Visitors Under Eighteen
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use Contact Us to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, you may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal data held about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete eligible personal information; or
- opt out of certain processing where that right applies.
A privacy request concerns data held by this private site. Requests for a Grant County jail, court, or Kentucky corrections record must go to the agency that maintains it.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised as practices, providers, or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted here with an updated effective date.
